There is an abundance of Christmas songs. One of the most recognizable Christmas songs ever is White Christmas written by Irving Berlin in 1940, originally song by Bing Crosby on NBC radio on Christmas Day 1941. Soon after, in 1942, it was released as a 78 single by Decca Records with Bing Crosby and Ken Darby Singers and John Scott Trotter and His Orchestra.

Vincent van Gogh and the stars.
van Gogh made several paintings of starry nights, the most famous of which is entitled simply The Starry Night (Saint Rémy, 1889). It is on exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
An earlier example of van Gogh’s starry nights is the Starry Night Over the Rhone (La Nuit étoilée, Arles,1888), which is also a quite famous painting. It belongs to the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
A piece of the night sky with stars is also visible in the famous painting Café Terrace at Night of the Terrace Café Place du Forum, Arles, 1888. This café has since been renamed Café van Gogh and is now a tourist attraction at Place du Forum in Arles. Some will say tourist trap, unfortunately. The painting belongs to the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, the Netherlands.
